The Ably Savvy Sensei Team (ASSET) is a leading social enterprise organization dedicated to delivering effective academic coaching and mentorship programs. Our primary focus is on empowering youths, teachers, and learners to enhance their professional pursuits, personal growth, and academic performance. By doing so, we equip them with the necessary tools to access higher-quality educational opportunities and exposure. Research indicates that 30 out of 50 students from 5th grade to university level in Africa face high academic failure and drop out primarily due to lack of self-awareness, poor memory, and ineffective learning strategies. ASSET addresses these issues by providing personalized coaching through a structured approach. We begin with a diagnostic assessment to identify individual needs, followed by learning domain and personality tests to enhance self-awareness. Using this information, we tailor coaching sessions that teach effective scientific studying and teaching methods to both learners and teachers. In addition, we provide leadership development and social etiquette coaching to further develop and prepare teachers and learners. Our revenue is generated through monthly and annual subscriptions, as well as booking fees from schools. We have established partnerships with the Ministry of Education in Zambia, the Teaching Council of Zambia, and the U.S. Embassy, successfully coaching over 4,500 learners to date. Currently, we are collaborating with the Ministry of Education on a project aimed at coaching 100,000 teachers and 500,000 learners across Zambia and neighboring countries, demonstrating our commitment to creating a sustainable impact in education. With a focus on equipping learners with the skills and strategies they need to succeed, ASSET seeks to foster a generation of confident, capable students who can overcome educational barriers and excel academically.
